Senior Legal Counsel

Opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join this dynamic, top ASX-listed, leading fintech organisation that is experiencing strong organic growth with product expansion and strategic business acquisitions.This newly created role will join a growing, high-performing legal and compliance team, providing support and advice on various issues including commercial asset finance, consumer credit, financial regulation, and general commercial matters.Key Responsibilities: Providing timely and high-quality legal advice to various business units Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of commercial agreements Managing legal and regulatory risks across all relevant internal business units, material activities, and projects.
This includes documentation, new business and product development risk Supporting the Chief Legal Officer with project-based and discrete activities in alignment with the organisation's strategic framework Monitor and provide advice on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Liaise with external bodies and regulators such as ASIC and AFCA, where required Experience and skills required 5+ years post qualification experience with in-house legal experience as well as a strong law firm background Knowledge of Australian consumer credit and privacy regimes Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex commercial legal and regulatory problems, consult with relevant stakeholders, and propose practical solutions Senior stakeholder management skills including internal as well as with external Vendors/ Partners Strong collaborative, organisational and project management abilities Greenfields is a specialist In-House Legal, Company Secretary and Corporate Governance Executive Search & Recruitment firm.
