Reporting to the Business Services Manager and coordinating with the Kiwa HSE Manager for technical guidance, you'll lead the CMW HSE team and be responsible for advising and assisting in the management, development, and implementation of high-quality safety and environmental systems appropriate to the business's current and foreseeable future needs.
You must have experience in an HSE role where you have led the function and/or managed direct reports.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the HSE team across AU and NZ and take accountability for team outputs and deliverables, delegating workloads and tasks to meet business priorities.Work with the CMW Managers to maintain a positive health and safety culture across the business.Keep up to date with changes or developments in relevant HSE legislation, regulation, codes of practice, standards, guidelines, and best practice and advise on any updates required to CMW's safety management system accordingly.Maintain CMW's Health & Safety and Environmental ISO accreditations (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) and look for opportunities to continuously improve HSE processes, systems, and procedures.Identify and manage risks to the business within the health & safety and environmental systems.Supervise the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards, providing guidance to the HSE team and Managers on appropriate corrective actions.Coordinate with Managers to ensure any notifiable incidents are managed appropriately and the relevant authorities notified in a timely manner.
Subsequently, manage and ensure compliance of any external HSE investigations.Assist and supervise internal and external HSE audits, working closely with the CMW Quality Lead.Work with Managers and the Business Services team to identify training needs within the HSE space, develop training content, and ensure implementation of the appropriate training to meet these needs.Report on HSE statistics to the Business Services Manager and Office Managers and assist specific locations where required with achieving compliance.Supervise return to work activities for any injured or ill employees and lead psychosocial investigations or return to work cases.Establish positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, and staff in all matters affecting safety and wellbeing.Qualifications/Experience 7+ years relevant experience as HSE Advisor in construction.Appropriate HSE Qualification/training (Cert IV, Diploma WHS, IOSH, or equivalent).Sound knowledge of OSH Acts and Regulations across Australia and New Zealand.Sound knowledge of safety management systems and incident investigations using ICAM method.What We Offer Flexible start and finish timesSocial and collaborative work cultureAdditional day leave on your birthday.37.5 hours per week, full-time positionOffice social events throughout the year #J-18808-Ljbffr
