About This Opportunity
OurSenior HR Managers(known locally as HR Relationship Managers) are senior strategic and operational leads for HR activities within a defined University client group. Partnering with senior stakeholders, ourSenior HR Managersare trusted to lead a broad suite of HR services and products, and contribute to the development of functional strategy and operational plans at a local level. The successful candidate will;
lead and develop a high-performing team;
consult on and manage complex and high risk employee relations issues;
deliver change management, workplace culture, performance, and other HR initiatives and projects;
implement centralised HR services and initiatives at a local level.
Our successful candidate will be located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, with regular travel to our Gatton campus, and is set to join theFaculty of Science Professional Leadership Team . OurSenior HR Managersare part of the University’s HR Functional Leadership Team (HR FLT), and influence the direction of the function overall, in partnership with our senior HR generalists and specialists. Appointment is to The University of Queensland, therefore our successful candidate could be reassigned to different senior HR teams, client groups and initiatives in the future.
Our Ideal Candidate
You will be highly experienced in partnering with senior stakeholders on HR related activities within the higher education sector, or an equivalent large and complex organisation (e.g. research institutes; education and training providers). Otherwise, you will be;
confident in managing, mentoring and developing a team of HR professionals;
highly experienced in relationship management, employee relations, organisational change, and policy and legislative compliance;
able to embed organisational values into day-to-day work and strategic planning;
skilled in developing and fostering positive organisational culture.
