We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Graphic Designer to join our client's esteemed 50-year-old family enterprise, a leading supplier of licensed hardline products such as toys, stationery, craft, and carnival items.
This dynamic company partners with numerous well-known licensors, providing a diverse and engaging work environment in Melbourne's western suburbs.
About the Role In this role, you will collaborate closely with multiple teams across the company, reporting directly to the Head of Design and working within a talented team of creatives.
This role requires a designer with strong packaging experience with strong conceptual abilities.
You'll be working on each project from start to finish, and working across multiple projects at any given time.
Your responsibilities will include: Developing innovative graphic designs for projects, creating concepts and executing designs by determining the optimal use of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout to meet business goals.
Conceptualise and create design solutions from start to finish, translating written or verbal ideas into impactful visual designs.
Working independently as well as with creative and product development teams to meet deadlines, balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
Identifying flaws and create solutions to enhance design capabilities while coordinating workflow to ensure timely completion of all briefs.
Liaising with licensors, suppliers, and team members to ensure projects are approved through all stages of the production process.
Packaging experience is essential; licensing experience is preferable but not essential.
This role will see you working almost exclusively on new concepts, and having similar previous experience would be an advantage.
Additionally, Pop culture knowledge/experience/interest would also serve as an advantage.
About You An innovative portfolio showcasing your packaging work that you feel aligns to the toys, stationary, craft, and lifestyle industry sector.
You should have a minimum of five years of professional graphic design experience.
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or a related discipline.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop.
