What you'd be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA.

This will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on: Collaborating closely with stakeholders, designers, and cross-functional teams to create innovative and user-friendly solutionsDesigning, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reusable front-end components and systemsIdentifying and implementing best practices and methodologies for front-end engineeringMentoring and empowering other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvementParticipating in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practicesStaying up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, trends, and industry advancementsContributing to the overall architecture and design of front-end systems, ensuring maintainability and extensibilityYou're probably a match if you have/are: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and state management libraries (e.g., MobX)Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js or JavaExpertise in writing performant, reusable code for UI components, including appropriate testingStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment, taking ownership of projects and outcomesExperience with big-picture thinking and attention to detailPassion for creating exceptional user experiencesAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbout the Team The Page Load team is a cornerstone of Canva's technical excellence, dedicated to ensuring the platform is fast, scalable, and capable of providing seamless experiences for millions of users.
