About The Opportunity
Micromine Head Office is located in Perth and we are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant- Compliance and Treasury to join the HQ Finance team.
Being part of a global mining technology group, in this role you will play a critical role in supporting the financial reporting compliance and treasury management for the group; including preparing annual financial statements, designing and ensuring compliance to to accounting standards and managing treasury and cashflow forecasting and reporting for the group.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the production of our end-of-year statutory accounts and note disclosures, serving as the primary contact for external audits to ensure seamless collaboration and compliance.
Act as the go-to expert on IFRS and AASBaccounting standards, providing critical technical accounting strategy and compliance across the group.
Conduct internal audits and quarterly balance sheet reviews across regions, with a strong focus on maintaining data integrity and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and standards.
Drive best practices by enhancing the accounting system's functionality and offering expert guidance to regional teams on system usage.
Take charge of our group's treasury function, managing cashflow forecasts, global banking and directing regional teams on working capital metrics to achieve optimal financial outcomes.
About You
You will have a proven background in statutory financial reporting and treasury processes in an international business.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
5+ years' experience in technical accounting and statutory reporting
5+ years' experience with treasury processes and cashflow reporting
Big-4 or strong Mid-tier accounting firm experience and/or international commercial experience
CPA/CA qualified preferred but not necessary
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Proficiency in NetSuite software (or similar)
Organised, efficient, and strong attention to detail
