The Role: As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial operations while supporting the business through a pivotal period.
This is a contract opportunity, ideal for an experienced professional who is immediately available and ready to contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Assist with statutory reporting and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
About You: To excel in this role, you will need: CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within a multinational or large corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Availability to start immediately and commit to the contract duration.
