About Our Client My client is a large, well established and growing ASX listed mining business. They are going trough a phase of transformation and as such are looking to bolster their finance function with this interim role that has the potential to go on and become permanent.
Job Description Key responsibilities will include the following;
Preparing and consolidating monthly financial results Preparing the annual and interim financial reports in compliance with Accounting Standards and ASX reporting requirements Preparing the annual remuneration report Providing adhoc financial analysis including assisting with investor presentations Preparing stand alone-alone company accounts to support dividend payments Providing accounting and regulatory guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards including assisting with the preparation of accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee Providing technical accounting support, identify and analyse accounting issues. Preparing corporate monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations relating to technical accounting issues, e.g. share based payments, fair value forward and option contracts, leases, debt, equity accounted investments, transactional and rehabilitation provisions Coordinating and overseeing the audit process as the primary point of contact for the auditors Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations Ad-hoc project work as required The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you will ideally have worked in a similar position within a listed business. If you have working in the mining and resources sector this would also be highly advantageous. You must be available to start immediately or on a very short notice.
