About the role
The Senior Financial Accountant position is a newly established role that will lead the financial accounting for the Australian operations. Reporting to the CFO, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
Oversee the Financial Accountant and manage the accounts payable function. Lead the financial accounting function, including preparing and reviewing the annual statutory accounts, BAS, month-end, and cashflow reporting. Lead the external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with auditors. Manage day-to-day Australian and US treasury investments, including reporting and forecasting treasury needs. Oversee the reconciliation of the fixed asset registers (Australia/US). Lead a small highly capable team. About you
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
Financial accounting experience, preferably in the resources or related sector. Degree in finance, accounting, or commerce. CA or CPA qualified. Proficient with integrated ERP systems, ideally SAP S4/HANA, and experience in managing multi-entity groups. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a readiness to engage in hands-on work within a small team. Committed to continuous improvement.
