About the RoleReporting to the Commercial Finance Manager and providing support across the team, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to apply their skills in a role with long term potential for growth as this organisation continues to expand. You will also have the opportunity to work on some key projects, assist with putting together business cases, work within several entities and engage widely across all stakeholders.Duties & ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial information relating to multiple business entities within the group, including:Recording of all financial information in accordance with accounting standardsBank account management and reconciliationsPreparation of balance sheet reconciliationsMaintenance of fixed asset registersManagement of lease accounting AASB16 and schedulesWork in progress accountingFleet management dutiesWork in close collaboration with the Commercial Finance Manager to collate financials for monthly operational meetings, Board meetings and other presentations as required by ManagementManagement of half year and full year audit processTax compliance - BAS, Income Tax, FBTAssist with the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, cash flow and reportingSkills & Experience RequiredDemonstrated experience in end to end financial accounting duties, with a strong understanding of key accounting concepts and reporting standardsYou are approachable and curious and not afraid to ask questions and seek clarification, though you also have a high capacity for using your initiative and being proactiveYou will have an appetite for learning, continuous improvement and problem solvingA flexible attitude, someone who can manage their time effectively to adapt to changing prioritiesHighly developed interpersonal skills, as this is a key role within the team and will require someone to liaise with stakeholders across several entitiesPrevious experience in a commercial environmentBenefits & CultureThis organisation continues to grow and prosper, offering long term career development opportunitiesGiven this growth, there is genuine scope to this position, this role will evolve and developMilton location, close to public transport, various parking options, retail and excellent coffeeFinally, this organisation provides job security, an active social calendar and a culture built on collaboration and teamworkAbout the CompanyThis is one of Australia's leading building services companies.
