Under supervision by the Finance Manager you will contribute, coordinate and manage the financial performance and compliance obligations for a variety of business areas within the group.Client DetailsThe positions are part of the Group Finance Partner (GFP) Team in the Management Accounting Branch.
The branch is responsible for all management accounting functions for the department, inclusive of internal budgeting and reporting, the development of a costing and charging framework, and the provision of group level financial support through the Group Finance Partner Network.The GFP Section provides financial partner support to the Cyber & Infrastructure Security Centre, Citizenship & Social Cohesion Group, Executive & International Group, and Emergency Management Australia Group to ensure the successful delivery of financial outcomes within the financial governance and control framework determined by the Chief Financial Officer.DescriptionProvide a range of financial and budget services (e.g.
Budget development, end-of-month reporting, forecasting);Undertake financial analysis and reconciliation processes on a monthly basis and as directed;Provide financial advice within the Departmental Financial Framework, as required;Manage co-ordination of activities relating to expenditure, budgets, senate estimate and other ad-Hoc corporate requests;Use various communication means to liaise with a range of stakeholders and present financial information;Manage and co-ordinate month end processing i.e.
accruals and journals;Ensure continual improvement in all aspects of finance, budgeting and reporting;Manage general administrative and coordination support;The ability to prioritise workload is essential as is the ability to accept and manage change; andAs part of your daily activities you are responsible for creating complete and accurate records in accordance with relevant policy.ProfileHighly Desirable * Demonstrated financial experience and capability.
* Experience using easySAP (SAP) and TM1 (BRACS).
