An opportunity has become available for a Senior Estimator within Network Services
(Water/Civil, Electrical & Gas)
for Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit reporting into the Chief Estimator. This role can be in various states: Brisbane QLD, North Ryde NSW, or Melbourne VIC. The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as:Lead estimate preparation for workstream and work with other estimating team members to achieve effective delivery of tender submissions and operational estimation activities in all Downer tenders.Preparation of First Principals estimates for workstream.Review and analysis of RFT packages and subcontractor quotations.Negotiate and influence business solutions related to costing, budgeting, and contractual requirements.Non-conformances are corrected within prescribed timeframes.Maintaining a positive relationship with clients and suppliers.About YouTrade qualification or an undergraduate engineering degree is desirable.Strong background in Civil, Electrical or Gas is preferred.Strong interpersonal skills - to be applied to all internal and external relationships.A positive attitude and commitment towards providing a high quality of service.Provide sound, qualified decision-making to the estimating process, following process and protocols.Ability to evaluate, identify scope anomalies/complexities through simple and complex drawings.What We OfferEmployee benefits including health and wellness initiatives.Personalised career development and growth working with an industry-leading team.Competitive remuneration package.Safety-focused culture working within a leading services industry.Management support coupled with ongoing training and mentoring.Career-enhancing opportunity to work within an ASX limited company.Downer Group is an employer that acknowledges and embraces the importance of our people's diverse experiences, talents, and cultures.
