Senior Estimator

Job Description: As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of projects, providing detailed and accurate cost estimates from first principles. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are financially feasible and align with our company's objectives. Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various commercial construction projects by analysing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.Utilize first principles estimating to break down projects into basic components and calculate costs for labour, materials, and equipment.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials costs, and construction methodologies.Monitor project budgets and actual costs to provide variance analysis and recommend cost-saving measures.Mentor and train junior estimators to enhance their skills and knowledge.Requirements:Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the commercial construction sector.Expertise in first principles estimatingProficient in using Cubit or Buildsoft estimating software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying preferred.What We Offer:Competitive salary package.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A supportive and collaborative work environment.To find out more about these roles, please apply online or call Steve on 0491687321 or Deb on 0431045920 for a confidential chat.
