We seek an experienced and dynamic Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our team in Sydney.
This pivotal role requires a seasoned employee relations professional with 6 - 8 years of experience, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across different regions.
Experience in working within a multinational or cross-regional environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations Strategy & Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders across regions to develop and implement people strategies that support global and local business objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert ER guidance on talent management, succession planning, and organizational development, with an emphasis on cross-cultural dynamics.
Partner with senior leadership to influence and implement organizational change initiatives that enhance employee engagement and business performance across multiple regions.
Proactively assess and address the ER needs of the business, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives on a global scale.
Employee Relations & Performance Management: Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with both local and international labour laws.
Oversee and guide performance management processes, supporting managers across regions in delivering effective feedback and developing their teams.
Lead and manage sensitive employee relations cases, such as grievances and disciplinary actions, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Collaborate with managers to implement performance improvement plans, ensuring alignment with global Employee Relations practices.
Change Management & Organizational Development: Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and providing guidance on restructuring and workforce planning, particularly in multinational contexts.
Develop and implement strategies to manage the impact of organizational changes on employees across different regions, including communication plans and support structures.
Act as a change agent, driving initiatives to continuously improve Employee Relations processes, policies, and systems across borders.
Employee Relations Reporting & Compliance: Analyse Employee Relations data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making on a global scale.
Ensure compliance with local and international employment laws and regulations, including guidance on employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
Monitor and report on key Employee Relations metrics, such as turnover, retention, and engagement across different regions, recommending actions where improvements are needed.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
6-8 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on Employee Relations business partnering, employee relations, and talent management, preferably within a multinational or cross-regional environment.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing and driving business outcomes across regions.
Excellent knowledge of Australian/China/Malaysia labour laws, with an understanding of international Employee Relations best practices.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across cultures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities across regions.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights for a global workforce.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Mandarin communication skill would be highly preferred.
Preferred: Experience working in a multinational company or managing Employee Relations in a cross-region context is highly desirable.
