Our client specialises in a variety of different projects across the Resources and Energy sectors.
As the Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will be part of a growing team, working on a range of local infrastructure projects on a permanent, full-time basis, predominantly site-based role.
Position Overview and duties:
Manage multiple electrical packages throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure work aligns with the project scope and meets operational requirements.
Supervise electrical discipline work, ensuring it adheres to quality, cost, and time constraints.
Develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts.
Monitor progress of the project, identifying potential issues related to the budgets, schedules, and engineering standards.
Develop and implement project controls, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
Assess and manage risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
Work and collaborate with the client, establishing positive relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years relevant industry experience in a similar role within the mining, construction or infrastructure sectors.
Demonstrated experience in working on engineering projects within the mining industry.
Experience in commissioning and HV & LV and knowledge of control systems and instrumentation.
Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and customer requirements.
Previous experience collaborating with clients and strong stakeholder management skills.
