The Opportunity As a Senior Electrical Officer in the City of Perth, you will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of both new and existing electrical and lighting infrastructure, within the City of Perth.
The position ensures the City's electrical infrastructure is proactively maintained and managed in collaboration with internal stakeholders and City appointed contractors.
Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer within our Infrastructure and Assets team, your responsibilities would primarily include:
Preparation of quotation request documentation for minor lighting and electrical infrastructure projects;Develop project briefs including scope, budgets and programs through liaison with City Units and computer-based systems;Under limited direction and in consultation with contractors, autonomously manage faults on lighting and electrical assets across the City boundary;Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks, and all other relevant Council policies and procedures.About You To succeed in this role, you will possess:
Cert IV qualification or higher in electrical works or a related discipline, with at least six years' relevant experience;Experience in conducting discipline-specific research and analytical investigations;Thorough knowledge of electrical and lighting practices and principles;Working knowledge of legislation, policies, and best practice principles in asset management.If your experience and capabilities match these criteria, we welcome your application.
