The position of Senior Director, Corporate Applications leads a section of four teams which provide a range of services, from software development through to application administration, for key government applications. The teams include the Oracle E-Business Suite Technical team (EBS), who provide technical support and developments services for the Territory's Whole of Government Oracle Financial system; the ServiceNow team who provide development, systems administration, support, and maintenance for the Territory's Whole of Government ServiceNow platform; the Power Platform team who champions the expanding self-service use of Microsoft's Power Platform and deliver outcomes through low code solutions across the ACTPS; the Collaboration Systems team who manages the ACT Government's SharePoint service; and the Online Services team who manages the Website Development and hosting on a common Whole of Government platform. The position works closely with stakeholders to ensure the services delivered by the section are meeting current requirements and are prepared for future and emerging needs. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead and manage a section that provides expert technical support for key government applications, including management of human, physical, and financial resources. Consult with executive and senior stakeholders to plan and develop innovative, robust, and responsive customer-centric business solutions for the Directorates. Provide representation, chair, and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and executives at internal forums and committees to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Ensure correct processes are followed and continuously look for improvements that can be made to processes and structures to increase operational effectiveness. Provide emerging technology awareness to staff and business partners that is beneficial to their existing and future needs. Provide expert advice and guidance across a complex public sector ICT environment. This position does involve direct supervision of staff.

Demonstrated strong leadership and high-level financial and staff management skills including proven success as a technical manager. Demonstrated extensive high-level management experience in the development and support of complex and diverse ICT environments. Demonstrated highly developed strategic, conceptual and analytical skills including the proven ability to provide business-focused advice and guidance in the effective use of new and emerging ICT technologies. Awareness of technical and business market trends and using this knowledge and expertise to advise and guide business outcomes.
Behavioural Capabilities
Adaptability to changing circumstances and multiple priorities and demands, and resilience while managing a constantly changing, complex and diverse ICT environment. Expertise in delivering agreed strategic business outcomes and solutions by taking initiative, managing resources, setting clear direction, and providing guidance for managers and team members. Takes a long term, strategic and comprehensive approach to the delivery of business outcomes.
Highly Desirable
ITIL Foundations V3 Certificate (or equivalent).

A current ACT Government CMTEDD issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is required for this position, or the ability to obtain and maintain one. This position does not require a pre-employment medical. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
