Apply to be part of the INSW team!About the RoleINSW is seeking a Senior Development Manager to join our Precincts team.The Senior Development Manager will work closely with the Development Director - Barangaroo to oversee and execute activities for the iconic Barangaroo Precinct, including a substantial development site next to the new Barangaroo Metro Station.The Senior Development Manager is responsible for planning and managing the delivery of a variety of significant projects within the government-owned precinct, as well as coordinating a range of activities, managing complex interfaces with development partners, and fostering relationships with stakeholders including the community and government agencies.Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:Leading and contributing to project planning, managing development functions, and assisting with complex negotiations to facilitate the delivery of Precinct projects.Managing the full development lifecycle from project inception to completion.Championing and facilitating high quality outcomes across the Precinct while effectively managing consultants and contractors, including scoping, selection, procurement, and appointment.Managing requests from development partners and tenants for landowner's consent to undertake development activities.Assisting the Director in ensuring time, cost, and quality objectives, as well as value for money outcomes, are achieved.About YouThe Senior Development Manager will have a demonstrated track record in managing complex projects in urban renewal, property development and/or infrastructure areas with a passion for creating high-quality places and enjoy collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver spaces that are innovative and city-shaping.The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience in coordinating development and delivery, in fields such as property development, project management, planning or related areas. They will have a flexible, proactive attitude with the ability to think strategically, and manage effective partnerships and stakeholder relationships, often with competing interests.The Senior Development Manager will be experienced working within, or with, government on major urban development projects and have qualifications in property, economics, finance, urban design, architecture, planning, engineering, project management or similar, and/or significant relevant industry experience.You will have exposure to tender assessment, contract negotiation and financial management within development contexts, and the ability to navigate complex, high-stakes and politically sensitive issues with tact.If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
