Senior Designer - 12 Month Maternity Leave PositionWe are a team of visual communicators and digital designers.
Our work spans across both digital and graphic design.
To be suitable for this role you will have demonstrated experience working across a variety of platforms and projects and will have experience designing for government agencies and private sector clients.
You will also have a genuine passion for design, visual communication and working on projects that directly impact our communities.
Role Overview As an experienced senior designer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and producing design solutions for a variety of uses across web design, graphic design, video and animation, brand and identity, and digital engagement projects.

Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in design and proven experience / portfolio of work5+ years of experience in a similar role, in-house or agencyExpert experience in using design software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and After Effects, Premiere Pro skills are highly desirableExpert understanding of design principles and experience in applying these across print and digital designExceptional work ethic and desire to succeedStrong communication skills, able to clearly articulate ideas verbally and visuallyStrong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong interest and knowledge of design trends and best working practicesA fast learner who can work on a variety of projects at once, able to adapt to new requests quickly and efficientlyUnderstanding and experience in producing Accessible PDF documents with AdobeExperience working within brand guidelines, government and council agencies is favourableRole Responsibilities Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Creative Director, and clients to deliver engaging and original creative solutionsBe accountable for the delivery of design services working within approved plans, briefs, budget, and quality standardsRefer to the Creative Director for design approvals including work requiring significant change, project outcomes or timeframes; are likely to escalate and create contentious precedent; require a high administrative or financial delegation; or submission to ExecutivePrioritize and manage multiple tasks and demands including matters with critical turnaround timesMaintain an awareness and familiarity with emerging technologies to deliver high-quality graphic design solutionsActively engage in professional development activities and ongoing upskillingOperate and make decisions within legislative and regulatory provisions, public sector frameworks, strategic and business plans, Government and Department policies, delegations, budget, and resource parametersDevote all of your time, attention, and skill to the performance of your duties both during normal business hours and at other times as reasonably necessaryRepresent Articulous Communications to clients in a professional and honest mannerPerform your duties faithfully and diligentlyUse all reasonable efforts to promote the interests of ArticulousComply with all laws and the rules and regulations of external agencies applying to your position and dutiesLead in creative innovation and design developmentWork with colleagues to maintain and improve the professional and efficient delivery of Articulous creative by participating in the development of innovative new products that enhance our reputation of being creative thinkersYour application will include the following questions:
