We are working with a major Queensland State Government department looking to hire a Senior Deployment Officer.
Scope of Position The Deployment Officer will be part of a multifunctional team within the Vendor Delivery Team with oversight from the Technical Delivery Group.
The role will be focused on implementing and upgrading critical Systems from Windows Server 2012.
We also encourage flexible working arrangements and support remote working.
YOU WILL Deploy and configure software application changes for supported computer systems and investigate, analyse and resolve system issues that occur in lower and production environments.Provide high-level technical advice and guidance, planning and coordination assistance to projects, vendors and other business units for software application changes for supported computer systems.Maintain software configuration items for supported computer systems in a configuration management database.Provide technical leadership and mentoring and assist with cross-skilling and knowledge sharing initiatives within the team.Criteria for Success At least 10 years experience in large scale enterprise ICT environments and experience with operating system platform upgrades.Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2019 administration and configuration including:Windows scripting (PowerShell)Microsoft Active Directory administrationMicrosoft IISMicrosoft SQL Server 2012, 2019 database administrationApplication deployment and configurationExperience with Linux / Unix operating systems including:Shell ScriptingApplication deployment and configurationExperience with deployment automation tools and pipelines:Octopus Deploy / BuildmasterDeployment Process AutomationProGet Package ManagementExperience with programming and scripting languages:SQL and TSQLXML, YAML, JSONPerl, Python, PHPEnterprise ICT experience including:Working in agile / Scrum teamsITIL and ICT governance processesExperience with Azure DevOps or JIRAAbout Talent Talent has redefined the contractor experience.
