This role involves designing and developing cutting edge AI solutions to accelerate Tech modernization, SDLC and uplift customer experience. You will work closely with key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure best customer and business outcomes.You will come with a strong business acumen along with demonstrable experience in using AI and machine learning and will be part of a high-performing team of data scientists to deliver high quality solutions leveraging machine learning, statistical modelling, and generative AI.To us, data is everything. It is the key differentiator in how CBA delivers value to our customers and provides foundational services for the Australian economy.We are a part of the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) team that is responsible for leading the delivery of world-class data, analytics and technology capabilities to improve the financial well-being of our customers and communities. The Technology Data Science team supports different areas within Technology space such as Retail Technology, Business Bank Technology, Fraud management, Cyber Security, Tech Chief Controls Office etc.As a community, our data scientists have diverse backgrounds and industry experience, with state-of-the-art machine learning research and development expertise, and in-depth knowledge of structured and unstructured data in the Bank. We are open-minded, curious and passionate about problem solving and data driven innovation at scale. Talk to us about how these arrangements might work for you.We are seeking people who are:Passionate about building market leading commercial, machine learning systems that utilise state of the art data science and scoring techniques.Excited about tackling new challenging business problems with AI.Adept with using a combination of commercial and technical AI models to find unique solutions in adding strategic value to the business.Collaborative in nature to work with product teams, curious enough to solve data problems and courageous in positively influencing senior stakeholders.Natural leaders that enjoy a collaborative environment and want to help foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes development and growth.Constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex problems.We are also interested in hearing from people who:Can build and develop ML and AI solution and utilise statistical models to drive business decisions and outcomes.Have familiarity with software engineering and keen build AI tools to accelerate SDLC.Are experienced in end-to-end delivery of advanced models and Gen AI solutions, from translation of business problem to a technical solution, and manipulation of large and complex data assets through to advanced and automated model management.Can collaborate with key business areas, including MLOps teams, Solution Architects and product owners to provide implementable AI and ML solutions and insights to drive engagement and customer satisfaction.Are experienced in working with large and complex data within a corporate environment and automating processes.Have a natural talent to communicate and positively influence a diverse and large group of stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Tech skills:We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure to any ML systems and statistical modelling will set you up for success in this role!Solid foundations in statistical modelling, Data Science and ML models and Gen AI.Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying a variety of AI / data science solutions including generative AI, NLP, reinforcement learning.Hands-on coding skills that allow you to build and implement ML model ideas easily and quickly using Python, PySpark, SQL, AWS/ Azure.Familiarity with software engineering principles and conceptual understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.Track record of proficient data wrangling skills and efficient large data manipulation.Strong experience in identifying, analysing and prioritising opportunities for AI solutions to achieve the greatest impact.Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar subjectsWorking with us:Whether you're passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.
