Senior Data Management / Data Governance Analyst Peoplebank are recruiting for their Federal Government client based in Adelaide, for a Senior Data Management / Data Governance Analyst to work on an initial 6 month contract (with extensions highly likely).
You must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo (or already have) a baseline security clearance.
In this role, you will use your strong background in data governance , agile project management , and policy analysis , as well as your excellent policy interpretation and writing skills .
The role is crucial for governing the organisation's data assets.
Responsibilities: Work under the limited direction of senior staff, exercising initiative and judgement in policy interpretation and in the application of practices and procedures.
May specialise in a particular function, such as Data Governance , Metadata Management (e.g.
recording of data assets and data definitions using defined standards), and Data Exchange Management.
Manage and organise your own work against competing priorities, including contributing to section and branch plans and business improvement strategies.
Provide data stewards and other data users with support and information, including tools and templates, guidance on processes and procedures, and how to apply protocols.
Ensure agency-wide adherence with data governance and assurance practices.
Help develop, implement, and maintain data governance and management documents that contribute to improvements in best practice.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to support the uplift of data governance and management maturity.
Deliver high-quality data governance: Register and manage data asset and data exchange records.
Register and manage customer information control plans.
Maintain data stewardship register details.
Governance of Indigenous Data implementation plan.
Identification and management of data-related risks.
Trust and ethics assessment of data initiatives.
