Senior Data And Business Intelligence Specialist

The Business Intelligence Analyst provides assistance in the exploration and identification of information sources, proposes reporting capabilities and requirements, and undertakes moderately complex analysis to provide business intelligence to support business decisions.
Your responsibilities will include the development of scalable data solutions, implementing field data strategies, and creating prototypes to refine long-term requirements. The goal is to ensure robust self-service business intelligence solutions are available.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with internal stakeholders to collect requirements, obtain feedback, identify issues, develop solutions, and drive the implementation of improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Data Warehousing: Architect, design, and implement data warehousing solutions using Snowflake and Azure Synapse.
Manage and maintain data models and structures to support business intelligence initiatives.
Implement data quality and data governance practices to ensure data integrity.
Business Intelligence & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations using BI tools.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure timely delivery of accurate and actionable business insights.
Azure Cloud Services: Utilise Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Fabric to develop and manage data solutions.
Implement and manage data security and compliance measures in line with organisational policies.
Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
Provide technical guidance and best practices in BI development and data management.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in BI, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Strong experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).
Proficiency in Data Factory, Purview.
Experience with data modeling, SQL, and database design.
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
