Senior Data Analyst

Key Accountabilities: Data Management Collate, cleanse, preprocess, and integrate data from multiple sources.Analyze road-safety data using statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning.Identify trends and issues impacting decision-making.Communicate risks, issues, and data gaps to leadership.Evaluate and document alternative data sources.Ensure timely data loading and maintain data accuracy.Assess new analytical tools and techniques, recommending changes.Maintain contemporary intelligence and analytical capabilities.Reporting and Advice: Provide timely advice and information on analysis outcomes.Prepare presentations, reports, Briefing Notes, and responses to inquiries.Offer strategic advice and recommendations on data issues and initiatives.Communication/Stakeholder Consultation: Liaise with stakeholders to support investigations and information exchange.Develop partnerships and intelligence networks for data sharing.Represent the organization in meetings, forums, and conferences.Project Management/Support: Manage data quality and analytics projects.Participate in project teams and prepare plans and reports.Support the development and maintenance of intelligence tools and processes.Other: Promote continuous improvement of procedures and work practices.Mentor staff to develop analytical and research skills.Collaborate with the team to maximize outputs and address skill needs.Ensure compliance with information security policies.Uphold high ethical standards and integrity.Work-Related Requirements: Essential: Knowledge of database principles, data analysis, and data management.Project management skills for planning and evaluating outcomes.Ability to convert data into insights and meet stakeholder requirements.Advanced conceptual, analytical, and research abilities.Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and statistical software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS).Strong written and verbal communication skills, tailored to various audiences.Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
