Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Planner - New Build department. Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost plans and estimates for new build projectsAnalyse project requirements, including scope, design, materials, and labour costsConduct thorough cost assessments and risk analysis to provide reliable budget forecastsProactively identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standardsPrepare detailed reports and presentations on cost planning activities for senior management reviewEngage with external stakeholders such as subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to gather cost-related informationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost planningParticipate in project meetings to offer expert insights on cost-related matters and contribute to decision-making processes.You will have:A proven track record in cost planning within the construction sector, preferably with experience in new build projectsDegree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or another relevant fieldDemonstrated proficiency in using industry-specific software for cost estimation and budgetingStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide accurate financial forecastsExcellent communication abilities with the capacity to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
