Based at our Geelong, Waurn Ponds Campus or Melbourne, Burwood Campus + hybrid work arrangementsFull-time and Fixed-term (12 months)HEW 7 $101,858 - $112,156 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)About the role:The Senior Coordinator organises and implements work integrated learning (WIL) activities including career events. They provide a high-level of coordination and service to the development of initiatives aimed at establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with domestic and international host organisations and industry partners to enhance student learning experiences.As a Senior Coordinator, you will:Simplify complex work integrated learning (WIL) information, identify key issues and provide accurate conclusions and next steps for easy understanding.Seek feedback from key stakeholders on improvement opportunities to WIL processes and implement change, addressing obstacles as needed.Regularly monitor the national and international WIL space to ensure innovative responses to emerging WIL challenges.Develop, plan and implement programs and initiatives to increase WIL participation and provide valuable learning experiences for students.Foster relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop, manage and support student placement opportunities.To be successful, you'll have:A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; orExtensive experience and coordination expertise in technical or administrative fields; orAn equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience in the field of student advising, career education or international education.Experience in working collaboratively and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders and/or clients from business, government or community sectors and students.Experience in negotiating new stakeholder agreements.Here's how to apply:Please submit your updated resume and a short cover letter outlining your skills and experience.For a confidential discussion regarding this role, please contact Sophia StJames (Manager, Work Integrated Learning) on ****** for this position close on Sunday, 6 October 2024.Who are we?Deakin is a cutting-edge public university in Victoria, revolutionizing education with 61,000 students across five campuses: Melbourne Burwood, Geelong Waurn Ponds, Geelong Waterfront, Warrnambool, and our dynamic online Campus.
