We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and talented Senior Controls Engineer to join our Engineering Group. This position plays a leading role in the deployment of electrical control systems. This includes design, documentation, testing and commissioning of materials handling automation hardware and PLC software. The position also provides substantial opportunities to travel across a number of our customer locations in order to fulfil the work requirements.

Degree qualified in an Engineering or scientific disciplineIdeal role for those with 7+ years experience in electrical design and installationSound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 & AS4024.1Experience in machine control, safety and functional safety principlesKnowledge of materials handling system controlsExperience in writing of technical documentationKnowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred), variable speed drives, barcode scanners and safety devicesExperience in managing installation crewsWillingness to travel during the installation and commissioning phase of a project within Australia and occasionally overseasAbility to work in project based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering teamOur ideal candidate will have a professional manner and display a dedication to providing a high quality output as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in business-critical environments.
