Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.This role as Senior Contracts Administrator will be based out of our office in Sydney CBD. There will however, be a requirement to travel to regional NSW locations (such as Mildura, Wagga Wagga) for up to one week per month.The Role In this role, you will be part of a well-resourced team, who are responsible for all commercial and contract matters on the project, as assigned by the Commercial Manager.Your duties and responsibilities will include: Tendering, negotiation and formation of assigned subcontractsExecute the project subcontracting strategy for assigned subcontractsReview project budget and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts to reflect subcontracting strategy on projectPreparation of all claims and variations for the adjustment of compensation and time under the assigned subcontractsManagement and resolution of all claims with subcontractors/suppliers in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating StandardsReview and certification of subcontractor's progress payment claims in accordance with the timeframes under the relevant subcontractProvide input to cost control and forecasting of final cost at completion position for assigned subcontractsParticipate in project risk and opportunity reviews on a minimum monthly frequency that are relevant to assigned subcontractsParticipate in progress meetings with assigned subcontractors to ensure all outstanding commercial and contract matters are dealt with in accordance with the time frames prescribed in the subcontractLiaise with Insurance and Commercial Advisor to ensure all notifications of insurance claims or potential insurance claims are provided to Elecnor Australia's insurance brokersPlease note this is a fixed term contract until December 2025.Your skills and experience: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, law, construction management, or economics preferred.Ideally 8+ years in engineering or construction industry, with direct experience on large value projectsExperience in managing subcontracts within lump sum projects or projects which require extensive management of performance and delivery risk.We're building a diverse workforce.
