Contracts Administration (Administration & Office Support)

Moec Pty Ltd is a growing construction contractor that offers pipeline construction and gas gathering services to our clients in the Mining and Oil & Gas Industries in the Surat and Bowen Basin and other sites across Australia. We are dedicated to achieving high standards of work with a focus on health, safety, environment, and quality. We are looking for a qualified Senior Contracts Administrator

with Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services Experience to work on our HDPE Gas Gathering Project in the Surat Basin. This includes Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our on-site project crew with but not limited to: Contract Management:

Review, analyse, and negotiate contract terms and variations with the client and onsite management. Ensure all variations are legally binding and meet project requirements. Manage contract amendments, budgets, and variations effectively. Maintain a comprehensive contract register and document control system.

Project Administration:

Coordinate and facilitate communication between project stakeholders (clients, architects, subcontractors). Manage and track project schedules, budgets, and milestones. Generate and distribute reports on project progress and contract compliance. Analyse and evaluate potential and existing contract claims. Work collaboratively with project managers to mitigate risks and minimize contractual disputes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of change orders and claims according to contract terms.

Closeout & Documentation:

Facilitate the finalization of contracts, including final inspections, handover processes, and documentation.

To be successful, you'll need:

Technical Skills:

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction contracts administration. Strong understanding of construction contract law, regulations, and best practices. Proficient in MS Office Suite and construction management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore). Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.

Soft Skills:

Meticulous attention to detail and a highly organized work ethic. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in the Mining or Gas Gathering sector. Experience with project management methodologies. Excellent Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in additional industry-specific software programs. Strong understanding of risk management principles as applied to contracts.

Additional requirements:

A current driver's license and white card. Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures. Availability to start work in the next 2-4 weeks and pass a pre-employment medical. Roster: 18 days on, 10 days off (paid travel on day 1 and day 10 of RnR). Vehicle provided.
