The $2.4 billion Parramatta Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia with a 12-kilometre, two-way light rail track. Parramatta Connect (CPB Contractors and Downer EDI Joint Venture) has been engaged by Transport for NSW to complete the construction of the light rail track, roadworks, stop platforms, and transport interchanges at Westmead, Parramatta CBD and Carlingford. Upon its completion the light rail will transport 28,000 people every day to key destinations, new communities and essential services. It is expected to open in 2023.
We have an opportunity for aSenior Contracts Administratorto join our team in Parramatta. You will have strong subcontractor management skills, experience in contractual negotiations and contractual letter writing.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on head contract are met.
Prepare, finalise and maintain the Rights and Obligations register and provide guidance to the project team.
Interpret and explain head contract requirements, and terms & conditions to internal and external stakeholders to support compliance with contractual, statutory and policy requirements and informed decision making
Lead and manage the variations and claims processes with a view to maximising Downer’s financial position.
Maintaining liaison with the client representatives for various contractual matters
Source and execute subcontracts for the delivery of the project with a view to the project’s long-term delivery target.
Ensuring all commercial documentation is in place and all contractual/ statutory requirements are fulfilled for facilitating payments.
Negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes.
Developed analytical and planning/prioritisation skills.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external clients & stakeholders
Effectively leads teams to identify and improve processes.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral - able to present information to a range of audiences and resolve conflict.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and able to cope with ad-hoc requests.
