Location: This is a senior officer role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring experience in managing partnerships with community sector organisations and demonstrated ability to think critically with strong communication skills to support change within Tasmania's housing and homelessness system.The Senior Contract Manager, as part of the Housing Support Program unit, will help build effective relationships and manage performance to inform recommendations to senior management and the Homes Tasmania Board and by working closely with service providers.
$104,756.00 to $118,730.00 pro rata, per annum - plus 11.0 % Superannuation

Period of employment / Hours: Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties: Primary Purpose / Focus : This is a senior officer role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring experience in managing partnerships with community sector organisations and demonstrated ability to think critically with strong communication skills to support change within Tasmania's housing and homelessness system.
The Senior Contract Manager, as part of the Housing Support Program unit, will help build effective relationships and manage performance to inform recommendations to senior management and the Homes Tasmania Board and by working closely with service providers.
Skills and experience : Selection criteria includes: Highly developed interpersonal skills, including verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to represent the Authority externally, including the ability to build productive relationships with key stakeholders and to effectively communicate to resolve complex issues. Well-developed contract management skills and demonstrated ability to negotiate positive outcomes and manage performance for significant and complex contracts, preferably of housing support services in Tasmania, in a manner that is client and community focused. Well-developed written communication skills, including attention to detail skills, and demonstrated ability to prepare concise and correct written documents that identify relevant issues and make recommendations to shape strategic thinking at senior management level. Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.
