We are ideally looking for someone who has front-end procurement/category management experience, transaction experience and/or strategy development experience, and familiar with consulting and advising clients on procurement solutions. Our Strategic Commercial Advisory business in Australia provides strategic delivery, commercial, financial, transaction and contract advice to a range of organisations from large government entities, developers through to construction and engineering contractors. We have high demand to expand our services with our Civil Infrastructure clients operating in Roads, Rail and the Water Industry. You will be responsible for: Developing infrastructure project delivery and contracting models and procurement strategies for major, complex, and/or high-value construction projects, Delivering procurement transactions in mining, energy, water, road, rail, oil & gas, housing or other relevant engineering construction sector. Skills and Experience: Ideally you will possess some or all the following skills and experience: Managing the transaction process from requirements gathering through to evaluation and contract award, including developing commercial principles, term sheets, and transaction documentation. Developing procurement strategies for delivery of major infrastructure projects and programs, engineering design, and other related construction services and works. Developing (with legal support) robust standard form or bespoke contracts, and participating in supplier negotiations to achieve competitiveness, optimised risk allocation and resolve commercial issues. Experience from the private sector or government (e.g. professional services firms, management consultancies, government delivery teams) would be highly desirable. Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their expectations, outcome and objectives ensuring these are considered throughout the commission. The ability to cultivate or develop business development opportunities by leveraging local networks, attending networking events etc. Ability to prioritise and manage own time in an environment with several competing requirements Sound working knowledge of public sector procurement and probity principles.
