Wood is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Advisor to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC West). Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available as full-time / part-time (job share) basis.
Wood's Operations APAC West business delivers brownfields and maintenance engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and South-East Asia.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the primary focus of your role will be to provide day to day commercial administration and management (including full contract lifecycle across pre-award and post-award phases) to key client on a brownfields engineering contract. In this fast-paced role, you will partner with a diverse range of internal stakeholders including operational and functional teams to support commercial risk management and maximise value creation for Wood.

You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia. Those with visa applications already in progress are also encouraged to apply.
Ideally, you will be a driven self-starter who is confident to integrate fully into the contract team. You will have 5+ years' experience in a commercial role managing on the contractor side within the Oil & Gas, Mining, or Infrastructure sector. An undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying, construction management (or similar discipline) will be well regarded.
In addition, you will have:
Knowledge of key contracting concepts, principles and commercial risk management
Knowledge and experience of commercial administration processes and procedures
Proven experience in drafting and interpretation of contractual documentation
