Senior Certifying Engineer - Structures
About the team
Infrastructure Gold Coast is a team of specialists who plan, design, build, maintain and operate our physical infrastructure, creating a safe and accessible city that meets the needs of our community now and in the future.
As Certifying Structural Engineer, you will be based in the Engineering, Design and Standards branch in the Engineering, Design and Specification business unit, responsible for delivering engineering solutions, engineering certifications, infrastructure designs and infrastructure standards, developing project and procurement technical specifications, and evaluations for capital works projects.
About your new role
You will provide engineering services for 'Green and Brown field' municipal multi-disciplinary projects.
The duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Coordinate an extensive program of engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery to agreed quality standards and budgets.
Undertake minor to complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Participate in the creation of planning, estimation, design, and specification documentation.
Lead, coach, mentor, and supervise project teams, with accountability for team functions.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with:
A Bachelor Degree of Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status in Structural Engineering or the ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.
Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Highly developed consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to influence project outcomes.
Highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills.
Ability to effectively network and act upon threats and opportunities to provide successful project outcomes.
A commitment to undertake continuing professional development (CPD).
Current C Class Driver Licence.
