By ensuring sound decisions and efficient management, we strive to create sustainable, well-planned communities offering safe and affordable housing options.Join us in our endeavour to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time and make a tangible difference in the lives of our community.The Role:Working closely with the Executive Director, Policy, Coordination and Land Titles and Registrar-General, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Support Officer to join our dedicated Policy, Coordination and Land Titles team to provide executive support and secretarial service to the Executive Director, Policy, Coordination and Land Titles and Registrar-General. This includes the maintenance of key relationships and networks, diary management, researching information, delivery of projects, and the improvement of business processes and capabilities to support DHUD's objectives.About You:To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:Knowledge of Parliamentary, Cabinet and Ministerial decision-making processes (desirable).Experienced in the use of Basware financial management system (desirable).Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, manage time and priorities, including planning, organising, coordinating and progressing concurrent priorities and projects to meet objectives.Demonstrated experience coordinating the provision of a range of senior level confidential and responsive administration services, including delivery of documentation, organisation and support of meetings and functions, and the delivery of accurate and effective records and data management.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in identifying and selecting appropriate approaches to respond to and manage day-to-day and exceptional issues, ensuring results are delivered on time.Proven experience in providing executive support services, including telephone screening, diary and email management, meeting agenda preparation, and travel coordination.Desirable Qualification:Tertiary qualifications in a related field.Special Conditions:Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment.
