Senior Business Development Manager/ Business Development Manager-Projects & Development Your role At Allens, our business teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges.
You'll be a part of the wider Marketing and Client Services team with the Practice Business Development team and be based in Sydney.
This role reports to the Head of Business Development, Practice and will have regular contact with the Chief Marketing Officer.
The team is well regarded across the firm and is a tight knit one with a strong commitment to results, a hard work ethic and a good sense of fun.
The team is genuinely national with team members located across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
As a Senior Business Development Manager/ Business Development Manager you will: Deliver on our energy transition growth area strategy.
Conduct client feedback to continually improve our service offering and to gain insights into client's business.
Drive implementation of the practice priorities including pursuing growth opportunities.
Prepare, project manage and contribute to tenders including coaching lawyers and PAs in contributing to the tender process.
Play a client relationship management role with appropriate energy sector clients.
Coach and mentor junior team members and identify ways to support their career growth.
This role is a 12 month parental leave contract.
Ideally, we are seeking a full time candidate; however, we encourage applications from candidates seeking a 4 day/week arrangement.
Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work; however, flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.
About you You will have: Experience working in a professional services firm or other corporate organisation with complex stakeholder management.
Commercial acumen, strong stakeholder influencing skills and ability to quickly understand strategy and translate it through execution.
A strong track record of coaching teams to implement strategy and priorities.
Ability to identify opportunities and strong pipeline management skills.
Experience developing and implementing business development initiatives to support revenue growth.
Knowledge of the market for legal services, including in project development, construction, energy and energy regulation, renewables, real estate, environment and planning.
Experience leading and managing tenders to win work.
Strong people management skills and/or an ability to mentor.
An understanding of client experience and an ability to align business development activities to deliver exceptional client experience.
A background working closely with communications, digital and events teams to design and deliver marketing and communication strategy in a B2 B environment.
A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others.
