How will I help? Reporting into the Executive Manager, Governance and Remediation, as the Senior Business Analyst you will ensure a clear understanding of the remediations, the data obtained, and the nature of the remediation calculations to be completed.
You will be responsible for ensuring all remediation data analysis, financial calculations and methods are documented and completed accurately, including considering the loss due to error, associated loss of earnings up to projected payment date, and any tax considerations.
You will use data analysis in providing recommendations for improvements to the remediation processes that support BT to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value.
Other key responsibilities include: Ensuring the data or beneficial assumptions being used in the remediation calculations are robust and documented Completing any calculations accurately having regard to matters such as loss of earnings and tax Performing Quality Assurance reviews on remediation analysis undertaken by other remediation team members Providing recommendations for improvements to the remediation processes that support BT to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value Regular status reporting as it relates to the remediations in progress Mentoring and training Business Analysts Identifying stakeholders and maintaining collaborative working relations; eliciting and analysing business requirements and engaging with and informing key stakeholder groups Working with stakeholders to prioritise the remediation activities Working with other remediation team members to deliver effective formatting of remediation calculation payment files for efficient processing of payments What do I need? To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced Senior Business Analyst with experience working in either Banking / Financial Services or Wealth Management industries.
You must also have experience in and a strong understanding of using Excel in Data Modelling and Financial modelling, as well as financial calculations experience using Excel.
Develop and use Data and Financial models to document requirements and to calculate the remediation payments due to members Demonstrable experience in summarising and collating solution scopes as well as implementation approaches Demonstrable experience in completing Quality Assurance on remediation calculations and models developed Be accountable and demonstrate personal responsibility for outcomes or commitments that are not achieved and implement corrective action to mitigate recurrence Facilitate collaborative activities with diverse participants to achieve shared goals, ensuring joint responsibility for outcomes Have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define and execute required activities Develop, plan and execute activities to achieve agreed outcomes and re-prioritise as required Strong influencing, negotiating, and communication skills Strategic analysis acumen and maintain strong teamwork capabilities to ensure that the correct business problem is being solved by the team Desired business and/or technology tertiary qualifications Start here.
