The Role Moore Australia (VIC/TAS) Corporate Bookkeeping division is experiencing significant growth and now offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our expanding Melbourne team.
In this role, you will manage a dedicated portfolio of clients across diverse industries, providing corporate bookkeeping services and expert guidance.
This position is perfect for a skilled professional ready to demonstrate technical expertise while working closely with client stakeholders to deliver quality services within defined timeframes.
As a Senior Bookkeeper your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Deliver accurate and insightful reports, including management reports, financial statements, cash flow analysis, and budget reporting.
Overseeing bookkeeping tasks from initial setup through to completion, ensuring all requirements are met on time and within scope.
Ensuring all work is compliant with relevant regulations and best practices, providing clients with the peace of mind that their accounts are in expert hands.
Leading client engagements with professionalism and efficiency, serving as a reliable point of contact for all client needs.
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes for clients.
Manage complete payroll processes, including payroll tax, Workcover requirements, superannuation guarantee payments, and termination payments as needed.
Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, debtors, creditors, wages, payroll tax, and PAYG.
Complete monthly compliance obligations, including Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
Provide ongoing support and training to clients in maintaining their accounts.
Review the work of junior team members, offering training and guidance.
Our ideal team member will have: Completed a recognised bookkeeping degree or course.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead client-facing engagements.
Expertise in management reporting and analysis.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, driving a project from inception to delivery At least 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience within professional services or industry settings.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Myob, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office suite Proven experience at a senior level in preparing monthly compliance obligations, along with constructing and maintaining clear, accurate working papers.
