Post Description About the Role: This role will lead and support automation engineers in the design, implementation, and commissioning of Alstef's Brisbane Airport project.
Responsibilities include mentoring and training commissioning engineers, supporting system cutovers, and ensuring smooth integration of new automation solutions.
Your expertise will guide the team through system upgrades, on-site commissioning, and system handover.
As a senior engineer, you will manage the technical execution, ensuring standards for quality, safety, and performance are met.
Collaboration with stakeholders, engineers, and contractors will be essential to deliver an efficient baggage handling system at Brisbane Airport.
Key Responsibilities Lead the automation engineering team, ensuring project tasks align with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Mentor junior engineers during commissioning and cutover activities.
Oversee design and development of PLC/SCADA systems to meet project requirements.
Lead system commissioning and cutovers, resolving issues during transitions.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and reports.
Provide ongoing support and optimize system performance post-commissioning.

Leadership, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Requirements Include At least 5 years experience in baggage handling systems.
Proven PLC/SCADA system design and commissioning skills.
Leadership ability in managing technical teams and projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (software, electrical, computer, or mechatronics).
Expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, control systems, and distributed computing.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.
