Queensland Rail is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Rollingstock Assurance Officer to join our team. Four weeks annual leave with 17.5% annual leave loading.Long service leave entitlements on completion of 7 years continuous service.Annual base salary commensurate with skills and experience starting at $138,900 + 12.75% Superannuation.Options for flexible work.Support for career development is encouraged.Employee Assistance Program covering career and personal professional support services.Health and wellbeing programs including Fitness Passport.Overview of tasks: Provide technical assistance and expert advice on rolling stock undergoing modification and overhaul.Conduct quality audits, inspections, and testing during the modification and overhaul processes.Monitor production progress, identify issues, and provide detailed reports to engineers and project managers.Assist contractor staff with commissioning and testing activities.Liaise with technical and trade staff, and other Queensland Rail departments, to resolve rolling stock issues.What You'll Bring: Solid knowledge of rolling stock operations, maintenance requirements, and repair processes.Proven experience implementing quality improvement principles to enhance rolling stock reliability and performance.Strong technical investigation, problem-solving, and testing skills, with the ability to deliver comprehensive reports.High level of initiative and autonomy and ability to work independently.Qualifications Required: Diploma of Mechanical Engineering or higher (qualifications must be verified and meet Australian requirements, accepted by Queensland Rail).
