Our experienced team of attorneys provides highly-specialised intellectual property (IP) services and advice to enable our clients to secure and defend their brands and technologies.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Senior Associate Trade Marks Attorney to join our renowned trade mark team in Adelaide.
The Role You will use your expertise to advise clients on all aspects of the acquisition and enforcement of trade mark rights including search analysis and advice, prosecution of domestic and overseas applications and opposition/non-use removal proceedings. You will be working with clients across many industry sectors such as food and wine, clothing, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, biotechnology and software/IT. You will be required to participate in networking events, seminars and other activities.
What We Are Seeking To be considered for this role, you will have:
Current registration as a Trade Marks Attorney in Australia. At least around 6 to 10 years professional working experience post registration. The ability to independently manage trade mark portfolios. A high level of experience in trade mark prosecution work and opposition/non-use removal proceedings. A client-focussed approach. Ideally, you will be a lateral thinker who is able to critically analyse complex material and demonstrate high attention to detail. You will be committed to your own career development, to building your practice and to ongoing learning.
Fluency in English, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, are critical to engage confidently with your team members and our clients; to understand and communicate legal concepts accurately; to assess incoming reports and correspondence issued by government offices; and to properly draft appropriate correspondence and advice.
