The opportunity
Reporting to the Team Leader, Platform Oversight and joining a broader team of Client Operations professionals, the Senior Associate, Platform Operations Oversight will be responsible for supporting the evolution and implementation of the control management framework, collaborating with business partners to ensure a robust control framework is in place and maintained.
This role will assume responsibility in implementing and monitoring the oversight of the outsourced Australian Personal Investor platform operations and play a key role in the development, implementation and administration of various Client Operation’s strategic initiatives. Additionally, this role you will actively participate in the oversight and management of numerous outsourced vendors.
What you will do
Support the Platform Oversight team by applying subject matter expertise and a depth of knowledge around the activities that support the integrity of the AUPI platform.
As the SME, provide assistance and support crew members and develop team processes and procedures to improve operational effectiveness.
Oversee operating procedures, monitoring operational metrics and ensuring the team delivery of accurate and timely processing based on daily goals.
Advocate and support a culture of continuous improvement, and agile change management in line with broader Vanguard New Ways of Working methodologies
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external clients and business partners that include third party vendors.
Ability to work flexibly and Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
Demonstrated experience in Investment Operations, Registry and/or Oversight Functions will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions
A proactive attitude towards building and managing stakeholder engagement.
A desire to learn, ability to self-direct work and eagerness to contribute to team success
Team Player with strong client service focus and good interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Specialisations that will make an impact
Experience in and sound knowledge of the investment management industry is highly desirable
Experience in investment and registry operations is highly desirable
Understanding of fund structures, financial instruments, regulatory environment and funds industry would be well regarded
Familiarity with or experience in Business Continuity Management procedures
Familiarity with risk management concepts and internal control operations would be highly regarded
Undergraduate degree in a related field or relevant experience in a similar role
