Your New Role

As an Analyst/Senior Analyst in the Valuation Team you will support the oversight of the Fund's valuation of directly held unlisted assets, work with independent valuers and the Fund's Asset Class teams to ensure a robust end-to-end valuation process of an investment portfolio that is growing in both size and complexity.

This will involve analytical work, navigating financial models, drafting papers and presentations, and working collaboratively with peers and senior colleagues within the Mid Risk and Private Equity Groups to share investment insights, technical skills, and support priority activities.

Key responsibilities include: Supporting the valuation process for unlisted assets (Infrastructure, Private Equity and Debt/Credit) by facilitating stakeholder meetings, reviewing independent valuation reports, performing shadow valuations and cross-check analyses, verifying accuracy of inputs, and assessing the reasonableness of key assumptions.Assisting with internal valuations to support the timely and accurate valuation of certain investments that are not valued externally.Researching and providing insights that support valuation analysis and collating key valuations metrics/assumptions to ensure assets are appropriately valued.Contributing to valuation papers provided to the Valuation Committee in support of assessment of investment valuation recommendations.Preparing Requests for Proposal documents to assist with the appointment of independent valuers to new and rotating assets in the portfolio.Assisting in the preparation of thought leadership on valuation insights materials and various valuation metrics shared with various stakeholders.Performing analysis for various purposes including provision of information to the Board and various other committees.Contributing to the Fund's Valuation function and capability, including developing systems, controls and processes required to support the rapidly growing fund and increasing size and complexity of investment assets.Assisting in delivering internal and external reporting and regulatory requirements.Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on valuation issues. What You'll Need Previous experience within a valuation team of a large accounting firm or boutique corporate advisor, or an institutional/corporate investing role.Familiarity with the infrastructure or infrastructure-adjacent sectors.Experience with the preparation of reports, analysis of information and drawing of conclusions.Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) with capability in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Attention to detail and good time management skills.Enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to a growing function.Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or other relevant area.Familiarity with S&P Capital IQ and Bloomberg an advantage.Post graduate qualifications e.g.
