Senior Analyst / Risk Specialist, Financial Accountability Regime (6-9 month fixed term)APRA is seeking a Senior Analyst / Specialist to join the Financial Accountability Regime team within our Policy and Advice Division.
The Role This role provides a unique opportunity to deliver on APRA's implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) across its regulated entities and contribute to other initiatives that seek to embed the FAR within existing supervision and enforcement frameworks.
Working as part of the team, you will:
Support the implementation of the FAR to insurance and superannuation industries, and the uplift of accountability practices across regulated entities;Collaborate and engage with APRA stakeholder teams, ASIC, regulated entities and industry bodies to successfully implement and embed the regime;Provide specialist risk and technical advice to supervisors, and uplift internal capability on FAR / accountability to enable effective supervisory oversight;Develop frameworks, training and other materials to assist internal stakeholders to implement the regime and embed the post-implementation operating model;Assess and provide technical advice on regulated entities' FAR queries and practices; andContribute to broader initiatives, as opportunities arise.About You This opportunity would be suitable for someone with a passion for transforming governance and accountability in APRA regulated industries. The successful candidate ideally will possess demonstrated experience in governance, risk management or implementation of regulatory projects across APRA's regulated industries. Prior experience in an accountability focused role would be highly desirable, but not essential.
You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving ability along with strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability working with key stakeholders, build relationships and take ownership to deliver on commitments.
