About the Department The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. About the Division The Senior Analyst (Data Governance) is part of the Information Management Branch whose objective it is to improve organisational data literacy and promote data-driven decision making. The Information Management Branch supports the organisation through various workstreams including Data Warehousing and BI solutions, Data Governance, AI, and Data Literacy.
About the Role The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing data governance and AI governance frameworks to ensure the integrity, transparency, and ethical use of data and AI within the organisation.
Attributes Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance and AI governance frameworks.Expertise in data quality assurance, metadata management, and conceptual/entity modeling.Proficiency with metadata management tools such as Alation, Informatica, Collibra, Alex, and Aristotle.Strong understanding of data quality, compliance requirements, and best practices in data stewardship and governance.Good understanding of data literacy fundamentals to support a data-driven culture.Ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate agreements, and develop strategic plans.Excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing and presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.Desirable Qualifications and Experience As our ideal candidate, you will have:
