This recruitment pool will run for a period of twenty four (24) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities. Currently, there is one (1) permanent full-time position and one (1) fixed term contract available for immediate and future filling. About the roleThe Senior Advisory Officer is part of the Tribunal and Review Boards team based in the Perth CBD.
The Tribunal and Review Boards team is a specialist branch within the Court and Tribunal Services directorate.
The Senior Advisory Officer is responsible for utilising independent judgement when critically analysing information and drafting high level reports for the Attorney General and Governor in Executive Council, on behalf of the Prisoners Review Board and the Mental Impairment Review Tribunal.
The Senior Advisory Officer undertakes research, interprets and complies with legislation, in addition to departmental, Attorney General and Governor in Executive Council policies and procedures in the preparation of advice, reports and correspondence for the endorsement of the Chairperson and the President.
The Senior Advisory Officer works collaboratively as part of a small team and assists in the management and reviews to improve processes, environment and systems.
The successful applicant will have highly developed analytical skills, demonstrated prior experience in high level writing related to complex legal and factual matters, and demonstrated experience working with a range of stakeholders to achieve results.
