Senior Advisor

The Essential Requirements for this Role are: Demonstrated experience in high level written communication, particularly the abilityto assist in the accurate preparation of complex and sensitive reports, briefings, policy papers, practice guidelines. Demonstrated research and analytical skills, with the ability to present evidenced based, fit-for-purpose, business case recommendations to senior management. Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Knowledge and ability to accurately interpret legislation, policies and procedures for appropriate on the job implementation. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines. Exposure to continuous improvement processes that will support the operational review of Policies and practices from an on-the-job perspective, leading to legislatively compliant amendments or improvements. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain comprehensive and detailed knowledge of Government and QCS strategic directions, relevant legislative and statutory requirements. It would be highly desirable to possess: Experience in, or understanding of, contemporary correctional practices and services, criminal justice environment or similar human service/regulatory agency. Contemporary knowledge and awareness of the QCS custodial and/or community corrections operational environment or similar frontline operational experience.
