31st July, 2024We are working with our contemporary public practice client to find an experienced Senior Accountant to join their industry-leading firm based in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.About our ClientOur client prides itself on its reputation and the quality of service it provides to its extensive client portfolio. Operating out of bustling, contemporary offices situated close to the picturesque Mooloolaba Beach, our client offers an enviable work-life balance.About the PositionWhilst not exhaustive, the Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for:Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies and TrustsPreparation of Financial Statements for the sameReview of the above plus BAS and IASs for junior and offshore staff membersReview of SMSF Financial Statements and handle auditor queries for sameExposure to a variety of taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A etcCollaborate on Tax Planning and other ad hoc consulting and advisory engagementsLiaising with clients and external agenciesProvide ad hoc accounting, taxation and bookkeeping support to clientsThe Ideal CandidateWe are searching for someone with:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (mandatory)Professional certifications: CA, CPA, or CTA (desirable)Prior experience in a client-facing public practice roleMinimum of 4 years experience in preparing tax returns, financial statements, complex accounting tasks, financial analysis, and management reporting.In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.Experience in liaising with government body organisations such as the ATO.Ability to guide tax planning and strategies to optimise financial outcomes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Leadership qualities, including the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff when neededXero, Xero Tax and XPM Practice Management Software is desirableExcel & Outlook programsWhat's on Offer:In return for your skills, knowledge and expertise, we offer:Remuneration of $110,000 - $120,000 plus superannuationGenuine opportunities for career growth and progressionRegular team and professional PD opportunitiesCar parking, contemporary offices and a convenient locationA warm, welcoming working environmentShortlisting will begin once applications are received.For a confidential discussion about this position, please call Shaun from Minchin Recruitment via ****** or (07) 3733 3544.
