The OpportunityDue to continued growth within the business, we are seeking a Senior Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day financial management and statutory requirements for the organisation.
Processing company accounts payable/receivables, bank reconciliations, monitoring cash flow, expenditure, revenue, and operation P&L.Oversee, review and participate in the preparation of the annual budget, including budgeted profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flows across multiple entities.Prepare and manage Government compliance documentation.End of month reconciliations, reporting and ensuring the integrity of financial data.Assist with company payroll for administrative and trades staff.General business management support to the Corporate Services Manager.

THE CANDIDATEWe are seeking a Finance professional who is Tertiary qualified and can demonstrate their excellent knowledge of financial accounting. You will be motivated, confident in your communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment. To be considered for this role, you will hold the following experience, skills and attributes:Degree Qualified Accountant.Demonstrate working experience in Finance Management, with experience in a similar position.Advanced ability working with financial software, bookkeeping and accounting procedures including ATO reporting requirements including IAS, GST & FBT.Advanced experience working with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to generate reports, read and understand company financials.Experience in Accounts Payable / Receivable and Payroll processes.High level understanding of P&L/BS and cashflow management.Financial and management reporting and interpreting financial data.The ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines and communicate effectively with a range of internal and external customers.
