About the role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will be to provide technology services to support, develop, and maintain the Identity and Access Management components of the IT infrastructure in accordance with agreed service levels within Coles. You will be an effective, strategic partner to key vendors and customer stakeholders, providing them with leadership with respect to the Identity platform and to the broader IT community. Your contribution towards the development of the Identity strategy and architecture will be imperative to our ongoing success as the team continues to successfully protect Coles' internal assets. We provide the solutions for all aspects of identity management, including governance, authentication/authorisation controls, security operations, and automation. What you'll be doing The IAM team at Coles is critical to the protection of our internal assets and the assessment of potential incoming threats. Having performed in a similar role previously, you will have the ability to identify emerging threats in the market and assess our security infrastructure's capabilities to manage such threats before they occur. Our primary focus is enabling the business to succeed by providing quality engineered Identity systems across our platforms and providers. With identity forming a key cornerstone of modern security controls, it's an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging environment. You will be called upon to assist in the selection and deployment of new technologies which provide business benefits to the organisation as well as identify opportunities for IT contribution to business improvement. Your responsibilities will include: Enforcing compliance with IAM principles including least privilege access, password management, audit logging, certificate issuance, and revocation. Working with management and other personnel to identify security best practices. Applying a risk-based approach to information security covering the security aspects of Cloud & On-premise IAM services with a focus on authentication and authorisation services. Being responsible for IAM security risk reduction activities using engineering and automation principles. Managing incident response for IAM security events to ensure service recovery and availability. Supporting privileged account management services (such as vaulting, password rotation, checkout procedures, etc.). Performing security and data/logs analysis. Developing monitoring and reporting on the health, effectiveness, and efficiency of IAM security events. Performing analysis on existing user IDs to identify orphaned accounts. Practicing security hygiene, strong authentication and authorization, identity lifecycle management, and governance. Good things you'll need: Tertiary qualifications in IT. In-depth expertise in applicable IT processes and technologies. Ability to lead project design and delivery and manage difficult technical issues across the technology portfolio. Ability to innovate and provide efficient delivery and operational processes. Ability to understand business and IT strategy, environment, and trends across multiple technologies. Strong self-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Strong vendor management and vendor collaboration. Relevant retail business experience. Demonstrated awareness in applicable IT change and problem management processes. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
